Part of the 2026-2027 Hartford Symphony Orchestra Masterworks Series. All tickets are sold through the Hartford Symphony Orchestra.

What makes a concert unforgettable? The excitement of hearing something new. The joy of rediscovering a favorite or celebrating artistry that is found from within. Hartford Symphony Orchestra Music Director Carolyn Kuan opens her final season with a program that tries to answer that question. From Dani Howard’s vibrant Trombone Concerto performed by Brian Diehl, HSO Principal Trombone, and Strauss’ lyrical Horn Concerto No. 1 performed by Barbara Hill, HSO Principal French Horn, to the timeless inspiration of Dvorák’s New World Symphony, this concert is filled with discovery, celebration, and possibility.
