The Bushnell Masterclass Intensive Workshop Series offers aspiring young performers an exceptional opportunity to learn directly from accomplished artists whose experiences span Broadway, acclaimed regional and professional theatres, as well as television and film. Designed for students ages 8–18, each session is thoughtfully structured with age-appropriate curriculum and instructional practices to ensure a meaningful and supportive learning environment for every participant.
Through a dynamic blend of engaging presentations, industry insights, immersive demonstrations, and hands-on experiences, students can attain invaluable knowledge of the performing arts while cultivating technical skills, artistic confidence, and professional awareness. Beyond artistic training, these workshops provide a unique platform for mentorship, inspiring young artists to deepen their craft, broaden their understanding of the entertainment industry, and develop the discipline, creativity, and professionalism that distinguish successful performers across stage and screen.
To reserve your spot, please complete the registration form at the link below. Once your submission has been received, you will be sent a separate payment link prior to September 14, 2026 with instructions to finalize your enrollment. Important: Reservations are not final until payment has been submitted and received. Additionally, if you would like to sign your young performer up for more than one workshop, please submit an additional form.

ABOUT THE TEACHING ARTISTS
Jamaal Fields-Green
Jamaal Fields-Green is a Broadway and West End performer, actor, singer, and filmmaker from New York. A graduate of The Hartt School, he is best known for his acclaimed portrayal of Michael Jackson in MJ the Musical and for his work in Hamilton. His career encompasses stage, film, television, and original creative projects as a writer and director.
Jorge Guerra
Jorge Guerra is a New York-based actor best known for his work on the national tour of Hamilton. He has performed with leading organizations including the Shakespeare Theatre Company, Dallas Theater Center, and the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Jorge is passionate about authentic Latino representation in the arts and brings extensive experience in musical theatre, acting, and dance to his work.
Chase W. Dillon
Chase W. Dillon is a talented young actor known for his roles in The Underground Railroad, Haunted Mansion, The Harder They Fall, and The Book of Clarence. Recognized for his compelling performances on both screen and television, he has quickly emerged as one of the industry's rising stars. Off screen, Chase is passionate about the arts and youth empowerment.
Piper Birney
Piper Birney recently graducated from The Hartt School with her BFA in Musical Theatre, and has been working professionally since she was 9 years old. Previously: The National Tour of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas; Goodspeed (Chasing Rainbows) and The Goodspeed Festival of New Musicals (2025, 2026); North Shore Music Theatre (Billy Elliot, Annie).
Kendyl Grace Davis
Kendyl Grace Davis is an actress best known for her leading role in Sulfur Bottom Off-Broadway, and the feature film Midas. Additional theatre credits include The Prom, Hysterical!, and a developmental reading of The Carol of the Bells at Goodspeed Opera House. Kendyl is committed to using storytelling to connect, inspire, and engage audiences.
Brian Syms Jr.
Brian Syms Jr. is a Hartford-based artist, choreographer, educator, and arts administrator dedicated to fostering the next generation of performers. He currently serves as Senior Coordinator of Education & Talent Development at The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts, where he provides leadership within talent development and other arts education initiatives. Brian has performed with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra and New England Ballet Theatre, and has chorepgraphed numerous productions including The Lion King, Sister Act, Once on This Island, Grease, Dreamgirls, and Matilda Jr. Passionate about arts education, he is committed to creating impactful opportunities that inspire young artists to grow in confidence, creativity, and artistry.
