This original one-woman play dramatizes Melba Patillo Beals’s searing memoir of the battle to integrate Little Rock’s central high, through the lens of a contemporary young activist who questions: “What does a warrior look like? What is worth fighting for? Can a young person change the world?” Employing sophisticated video technology, original music, spoken word, poetry, and prose, the show will be a catalyst for deeper discussion about social responsibility, civil discourse, social media, community engagement and freedom.
