Lily Tomlin – WRCH’s Nite of Lite Laughter October 19

Lily Tomlin continues to venture across an ever-widening range of media, starring in television, theater, motion pictures, animation, video, and social media. Throughout her extraordinary career, Tomlin has received numerous awards, including: seven Emmys; two Tony Awards; a Drama Desk Award, an Outer Critics’ Circle Award; a Cable Ace Award, a Grammy for her comedy album, This is a Recording, not to mention numerous additional Academy Award, Emmy, Screen Actors Guild and Golden Globe nominations. In 2003, she received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor and, in December 2014, was the recipient of the prestigious Kennedy Center Honors in Washington DC.

Currently starring in hit Netflix show “Grace and Frankie,” Tomlin has made her mark with leading roles in top-rated shows such as “Laugh-In,” “Murphy Brown” and “The West Wing,” as well as numerous beloved films including “9 to 5,” “Nashville” “All of Me” and “The Incredible Shrinking Woman.” She received two Tony Awards for her one-woman Broadway show, “Appearing Nitely.”

She has continued to draw packed audiences nationwide with her groundbreaking live performances.
