Tickets for Carol Burnett at The Bushnell on Sale May 6

HARTFORD, Conn., April 30, 2002 - Carol Burnett, one of the country's most loved and respected performers, will appear at The Bushnell for one night only at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2002. Burnett's performance is part of Ovations 2002, The Bushnell's annual fundraising event.
A limited number of tickets for Burnett's performance go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, May 6 and are available by visiting or calling The Bushnell Box Office at (860) 987-5900. Tickets are $150.
Her June 1 performance, Laughter and Reflection: A Conversation with Carol Where the Audience Asks the Questions will take place in the intimate 900-seat Belding Theater and is a rare opportunity to talk to Carol in an enjoyable and intimate audience-interactive format.
Tickets are still available to Ovations 2002, which includes a cocktail reception, dinner, a silent auction and premier seats to Burnett's performance. For information about the fundraising event, call Kelly Richardson at (860) 987-6051 by May 10.
A six-time Emmy(r) Award winner, Burnett has demonstrated versatility since ending the 11-year run of the "Carol Burnett Show." She is now as widely recognized for her dramatic abilities as she is for her comedic and musical talents. Americans fondly consider her a true living legend in entertainment, having bestowed more People's Choice(r) Awards upon her than any other woman in the award show's history.
Proceeds from the performance will support The Bushnell's educational programs, including PARTNERS, the nationally recognized arts-in-education program. Last year, the event raised more than $100,000 for The Bushnell's education programs.
