"I think I can, I think I can," are words that joyfully resonate in the hearts of children everywhere. ArtsPower's The Little Engine That Could tells the uplifting story of an extraordinary train that performs an extraordinary feat of strength and courage.

The story begins with the Red Engine, who breaks down and cannot make it over a hill. When a shiny passenger engine and big freight engine refuse to help, the Red Engine turns to the Little Blue Engine. The Little Blue Engine has always been made fun of by the other engines, causing him to doubt his own strength and ability. With encouragement from the Red Engine, the Little Blue Engine manages to push her up and over the hill.

Adapted for the stage by playwright and lyricist Greg Gunning and composer Richard DeRosa, The Little Engine That Could is a story about finding strength from within and always believing that anything is possible.

The Little Engine that Could is appropriate for students in grades pre-K through 2. Tickets are $8.50.
