MARCH 4, 2001 - HARTFORD, CT - Spain's most popular singer, Julio Iglesias, is coming to The Bushnell Center for Performing Arts' Mortensen Hall on Wednesday, May 15, 2002. Tickets for the one-night-only performance go on sale Monday, March 18 at 10:00 a.m. at The Bushnell Box Office. Tickets may also be purchased by calling 860-987-5900 or online at www.bushnell.org. His latest artistic masterpiece "noche de Cuatro Lunas", his 77th album, contains tracks on which Julio sings - by his own admission - like he never has before.
Julio Iglesias is an enduring icon who has had a career that knows no boundaries or limitations. Over the course of his career, he has sold over 250 million units - the most by any artist, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. He has earned an astounding 2,650 gold and platinum records, and has played nearly 4,600 shows on five different continents.
And now he'll add one more performance to his list when he brings his show to Hartford on May 15th. The Bushnell is co-presenting this special show with the Hartford Civic Center, the first cooperation between the two venues, in an effort to bring the best entertainment opportunities to downtown Hartford, "New England's Rising Star".
