Prepare for "A Ghoulishly Elegant Evening" at The Bushnell's Annual Gala, Ovations 2010

March 15, 2010, HARTFORD, CT – Join us for “A Ghoulishly Elegant Evening” when The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts hosts its annual gala, Ovations, on Saturday, April 10, 2010 beginning at 6 p.m. This year’s event celebrates the Broadway opening of the new musical The Addams Family. The Bushnell is proud to be part of The Addams Family producing team through our affiliation with Five Cent Productions and Elephant Eye Theatrical. Ovations is an annual fundraiser for The Bushnell’s nationally-recognized arts-in-education program, PARTNERS® (Partners in Arts and Education Revitalizing Schools), which addresses the challenges present in communities caused by poverty, lack of parental involvement in education, transient student populations, and language barriers, and strives to counter these potential negative effects on student education and learning.

Guests are encouraged to dress in a “Ghoulishly Elegant” fashion, whether by dressing as one of the famed Addams Family characters or in “funeral haute couture” (a simple little black dress or dashing dark suit would work perfectly as well). The evening will feature cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, culinary stations, silent and live auctions, and dessert and dancing on the Belding Theater stage to the music of the Legit Band. Corporate tables and individual tickets are available at different price levels.

For detailed information on Ovations 2010, visit www.bushnell.org, or contact Stephanie McMullon at (860) 987-6083.
