Meet the Broadway Stars of Tomorrow in At This Performance...

Musical theater’s unsung heroes get their chance to shine at The Bushnell.

Hartford, CT – (October 20, 2008) – Part concert, part "Inside the Actor's Studio", At This Performance... returns with this all-new 2008 edition produced exclusively for The Bushnell.  This totally unique evening is a critically-acclaimed celebration of Broadway standbys and understudies, giving some of New York's finest musical performers their well-deserved chance in the spotlight.  At This Performance… takes to the stage in The Bushnell’s Belding Theater Monday, November 17, 2008 at 7:30.  Part of the Edwards Angell Palmer and Dodge Marquee Performances series.

Tickets for At This Performance… are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting The Bushnell Box Office at 166 Capitol Avenue in Hartford or by calling (860) 987-5900.  Tickets may also be purchased online at www.bushnell.org.  Ticket prices range between $15 and $28. 

Hosted by New York casting director Stephen DeAngelis, At This Performance… gives the actors a chance to display their great talents and versatility, share backstage behind-the-scenes anecdotes about their experiences and participate in an enlightening and entertaining question and answer session with the audience. It provides a rare insider's glimpse at the Broadway stars of tomorrow today.  Actors to be featured include in The Bushnell’s 2008 edition include: Katie Adams (current standby for the role of Glinda in the Broadway production of Wicked), Laura Marie Duncan (current understudy for the role of Nellie Forbush in the Broadway revival of South Pacific), Merwin Foard (current cast member of the Broadway production of Disney's The Little Mermaid where he covers the role of King Triton), and Annie Funke (currently making her Broadway debut as the standby for the role of Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray).
