Dan Zanes and Friends occupies a special place in American music where sea shanties, Broadway standards, North American and West Indian folk music, fiddle tunes, the spirit of rock-and-roll, and soulful originals collide. It's one big music party and everyone's invited; and, best of all, the kids can wear their pajamas!

Once the lead singer of celebrated roots rock band The Del Fuegos, Zanes found his calling creating truly age-desegregated folk music. When his daughter Anna Zanes was born, Dan began recording the kind of family music that he heard in his head but couldn't find in the stores. This handmade all-ages twenty-first century folk sound has gone from neighborhood entertainment to a national success story. There have been six CD releases with guests including Sheryl Crow, Philip Glass, Lou Reed, Suzanne Vega and Debbie Harry. Dan Zanes and Friends has toured the country extensively and has been featured in the New York Times Magazine, People, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, and on NPR.
