Joan Collins and Linda Evans reunite for LEGENDS!

October 10, 2006 -- In the 1980’s, Joan Collins and Linda Evans sent television ratings soaring as “Dynasty’s” glamorous rivals–Alexis and Krystal Carrington.  Now they are reuniting for a new version of the brilliant comedy LEGENDS, which will play Hartford at The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts for 8 performances from November 7 – 12, 2006 .  Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting The Bushnell Box Office at 166 Capitol Avenue , Hartford , or by calling (860) 987-5900 or online at www.bushnell.org.  Groups of 20 or more should call (860) 987-5959.  The engagement is part of the Lincoln Financial Broadway Series.

Written by Tony Award®-winning author James Kirkwood (A Chorus Line), LEGENDS centers on two fading and somewhat desperate movie stars, Sylvia (Joan Collins) and Leatrice (Linda Evans). Both actresses are courted by an unscrupulous young producer to star together in a new Broadway show, despite the fact that they have hated each other for decades.  He convinces both ladies to go along by misleading them into believing they will be starring alongside Paul Newman.  This hilarious set-up provides the background for the full-blown comic confrontation between these two divas and the surprising and hilarious resolution, played to the hilt by the two stars that the world knows as “rivals to the death” from the internationally acclaimed television series “Dynasty”.

Ms. Collins made her London stage debut at nine in Ibsen’s A Doll’s House at the Arts Theatre.  She studied drama at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art when she was 16 and was soon signed by 20th Century Fox in Hollywood .

Ms. Evans began her acting career while still a school girl, attending Hollywood High School .  Upon graduation, she was placed under contract with MGM Studios until her big break arrived in 1965 with “The Big Valley”, playing the role of Audra Barkley in the successful ABC series until 1969.

Ms. Evans is internationally recognized for portraying Krystle Grant Jennings Carrington on the highly acclaimed television series “Dynasty” and has received five People’s Choice Awards; a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Dramatic Television Series and a Best Actress   Emmy nomination for her work on that series.

She has been awarded Italy ’s coveted Telegetto Award for favorite female television star as well as being recognized as one of the worlds “Ten Most Beautiful Women” for four consecutive years by Harper’s Bazaar Magazine.
