I walk (with another Hartford boglger, Meg of Two Ladies in Waiting and her dog) every morning at the crack of dark, through downtown to the Hartford side of the river to the boathouse. On weekdays we never see anyone until maybe 6:30. On weekends we go later, maybe 8 or 9 am, and go on both sides of the river, and still we see very few people. It's a gorgeous park, beautifully maintained, scenic, a lovely oasis in the city, and it seems no one knows it is there. We always say hi to people, and I agree, most people seemed surprised to be greeted.Next time you're running, if you see two women with a goldendoodle (and occasionally there are other neighbors with us, and other dogs) say hi we'll definitely say hi back, if we didn't beat you to it.
