There truly is no place like home as the greatest family musical of all time, the wonderful WIZARD OF OZ, twists its way across the country into Hartford! The entire family will be captivated as they travel down the Yellow Brick Road and beyond with Dorothy, Toto and their friends the Cowardly Lion, Tin Man and Scarecrow in this lavish stage production, featuring breathtaking special effects, dazzling choreography and classic songs. A spectacular celebration of the iconic 1939 MGM film, THE WIZARD OF OZ will blow you away from the moment the tornado touches down and transports you to a dazzling art deco Oz, complete with munchkins and flying monkeys. Don’t miss the chance to travel Over the Rainbow and experience this national treasure on stage.

An incredibly amazing season.
I've already commented about the rest of the shows, but the Wizard of Oz is the root of why I love theater I do believe. Although I do not remember it, my family went to see a semi-professional production of The Wizard of Oz when I was young. My parents thought that I might not be able to stay focused for the whole show, but apparently I stood at attention the entire performance! Great to see this complete the season!
And what a diverse season! Blue people, green witches, green ogres, bipolar mothers, hippies, and latinos! I am so excited!!

I think this will be the strongest season yet! All are great choices to let use the Bushnell, will WICKED be making a comeback anytime soon? But overall, I know I am definitely purchasing a season subscription again this year... TOO GOOD TO PASS UP!

The Bushnell line up for 2010-2011 is outstanding. As this season, and seasons past, the Bushnell shines. One question: no multiple week repeat musicals?

Hi Molly!
If you are a current subscriber, your first renewal payment is due by May 25. If you are a new subscriber, new subscriptions will go on sale in July. Depending on the performance day/time you are looking for, orchestra subscriptions range from $425-$470.
